Rock 'N' Roll Levitation - 10/04

The creature was safe, as it was protected by three jungles located underneath a sea of purple foam... Those were the words said to me as I was relying on sunrise. Everything made perfect sense for one long second. And I remembered: time, was simply an action.
Who could be blamed, why should we blame? This world is full of silent rebels with no media coverage, that's how they'll always be. Each one of them know they've won. Bite yourself off!, you'll be you.

The alarm clock went off again. This time, again, it was the sound of claustrophobic jazz flowing directly into my brain free of obstacles. After a moment of tense FM silence the 6am dj asked: Beethoven or Charlie Parker!!?? He asked again and again and again. Always followed by the dramatic "silence" of FM compression static, no one called with an answer. His question slowly became a statement, and the statement an answer. I got his message, we all did. Something was accomplished.

So here we are again, 2004, with two languages and eleven dialects in my head trying to put together some facts. The last time was 1999, 2000 or 2001? doesn't matter. It's been one long year since 1999 when someone said to me: this is it, you've been thrown to the lions. I responded, It's okay, lions look after us.
September 1999 Electro-Z (Electro-Z) was launched in Lima. "Call out the instigators there's definitely something in the air." After eighty-nine minutes of feedback, twenty plus shows, several TV and radio presentations in the southern hemisphere, two ex-members and one flight out of Lima, Christian (ex-drummer), Jenniffer and L.A.S.E. arrive the US. Countless memorable events and nice adversities (…beauty comes from beautiful storms...) triggered forty-six new anthems.

NYC, November 2003 Ben Arons shows up, and in February 2004 Bob Donlon. Perfect musicians and great friends is what I call them. The Dasher is born.
Where is Dasher from? Boston, Lima, New York, Africa, Spain, Ireland, Cyprus, UK, Italy, Israel, Chile, etc, etc??!! don't know don't care. I never got along with patriotic concepts; they have only screwed things up so far. We're from "places", neighborhoods, not countries. Citizens of the World sounds better.
Midtown NYC; Panoramic Blast started to become reality, the songs had already been created but this time the magnitude was overwhelming. Music and parts just fell in place. "Now we sound like a f****ng band!" the Bobby stated. The four of us witnessed it; therefore, it was true, if not collective illusion. Several NYC venues experienced the Dasher, and as our instruments were recurrently mistreated, we always made it through.
The album was finally mixed after long nights and short blurry days of breakthroughs. The Arons and L.A.S.E. made it! And they where barely harmed. The album is almost ready to go (by the time you read this it's probably already out). What's happening next? only we know.
